It wasn't always silent here, except tonight of course, but that was fine. It was a nice change to the usual company she was with. Sometimes her life could be exhausting especially since she would often go to her parents clubs all the time to keep their regulars and their guests happy with her dancing. It wasn't exactly her idea of fun, but it was necessary for her to be a part of.
She was sitting in one of the library lounge chairs reading a good book about contesting strategies. Abbii wasn't reading the book quickly all the way through, rather she was taking notes on it with the notebook she held in her lap and the silver inked pen that she had gotten with a set on her birthday.
She didn't know what time it was, but she was sure it was passed 5:00 pm simply because she had been there for several hours, studying, but the library had yet to close. She was sure that it was beginning to get dark outside because of the autumn time.
Then, she wondered where her twin had gone. They had come into the library together, to do a little bit of studying, but Abbii had gotten so engrossed in her studying that she hadn't payed much attention to what Drew did. Oh... He was probably sneaking around the combat section, trying to read up on some different kinds of strategies.
She shrugged and went back to reading her book. When he was ready to get going he would come back and get her. He always did.
Ah, the library! Perhaps one of his favorite spots to just get away. Being a bit of a bookworm, the Fay loved getting lost in literature, finding it to be quite the stress reliever. Of course, it wasn't always just a hobby to pass time. There were instances where he had to study, being the college student he was. But what had started as hours drilling into textbooks regarding contests and coordination stratigies almost too quickly became a mission to see just how long he could lurk the battle section without raising suspicion. Surprisingly, it wasn't all that difficult as the library was rather quiet tonight. Quite frankly, he ended up losing track of time, being so engrossed in the book on techniques he currently had in his hands. It wasn't until he glanced upwards and noticed it was much darker than it was before did he realize just how late it was.
Far more alarmed than he needed to be, the man stood to his feet, deciding to check if the place truly was deserted. More importantly, he wanted to know whether or not his twin was even still there. He'd told her he'd be right back who knows how long ago. Oops...
Fortunately, upon returning to where he'd last saw her, he found his twin still sitting in the same spot, just as focused on her book as he was moments ago. He shouldn't have been so surprised, but found it amusing nonetheless. How long had they even been there? He frowned at the thought, bringing his wrist to view to look at his watch. Didn't do much good since he couldn't remember when they'd even arrived, but the library was growing closer to closing. With a shrug, he walked around to the neighboring chair, resting with a huff, in no real hurry to get going. Once it was time to leave, she'd either let him know or the librarian would run them off.
"Didn't miss me too much, I see." he chuckled softly. He expected as much, she was quite serious about coordinating, unlike himself. Sure, she didn't have much choice in the matter, but he admired how dedicated she was to it, not to mention how amazing she was at it. Of course, reminded of his own book, he tucked the guide to battling out of sight. He knew that she knew about his little secret, but that didn't mean it needed to be brought up again. It was much easier to just pretend it didn't exist.

She heard his footsteps first and smiled at the sound. But she didn't look up from her book. He had said he would be right back anyway. Course that was so long ago that she couldn't even remember when he had left. Hence why she had to look up for him in curiosity.
"Didn't miss me too much, I see." At his words she chuckled slightly and glanced up at him from her book. Only briefly though. However, it was long enough to notice the ending motion of him hiding a book. She didn't react though. Didn't react, and didn't ask. She knew perfectly well what it was. But he knew perfectly well where she stood. If he didn't want to talk about it in the moment of time what was the point of even talking about it. She knew when the right time was, and that time was not now.
Besides, there was nothing else for her to say that she hadn't already said. He knew her and she knew him. They were twins. They knew each other. If he didn't want to tell their parents about his interest in battle, then that was his decision and she respected it. Though she did continue to poke at him whenever the opportunity arose and she felt it was at a right time.
Even so...
She finished the chapter she had been reading and she closed the book. She was done anyway. Might as well give her twin some attention. "Drew, you will always be missed, maybe just not in a dramatic way. I don't think crying or shedding tears every time you walked out of my sight would be very healthy. And it wouldn't be any fun either." She winked affectionately at her brother then stood up and moved to the nearest shelf to put the book she held away.
Nose stuck in her book. Similar to the state he was in when reading, she might as well have not been there at all for she certainly wasn't about to acknowledge anything or anyone till she was finished. Not that he blamed her of course. In fact, he was glad she worked so hard, always believing there was room to improve. Even still, he felt obligated to make sure she didn't go overboard at times, something she happened to do rather often. To say he was innocent himself, however, would make him a hypocrite. But he was far more concerned with others before he'd even consider his own needs. It was a blessing and a curse, really.
He waited patiently, saying nothing more as to not break her concentration. Eventually, the wait was over and he smirked at her response. "True." he offered with a nod as she got to her feet to return the book. "I'd hate to see you cry anyway." he began, sitting back in the chair a bit more comfortably, so 'improper' that their parents might have shrieked at the sight. "Perfect as you are, Gail, your crying could really use some work." he spoke in a serious tone as if he really were judging her for a performance. "It's far too messy and I'd hate to have to carry tissues everywhere we go." he teased jokingly, a mischievous smile betraying his act.

THE SOUL THAT SEES BEAUTY MAY SOMETIMES WALK ALONE.
Standing in front of the book shelf she couldn't help herself from laughing at her twins words. It was a very delicate laugh. She absolutely Hated it, merely because she knew that her parents also hated it. Realizing she had let it slip out she stopped abruptly and began to stare at the covers of the books on the shelf in front of her. When was the last time she had heard herself laugh like that? Not just like that, but more then just a giggle.
The library around her became completely silent, but she didn't look at her brother. She was shocked at herself and didn't want to see the way he might have looked at her. She knew he would never have looked at her in disgust, for the twins absolutely loved each other and she knew that he completely supported her. But what if he looked at her with those eyes of his and convinced her it was alright? What if that happened and she mistakingly laughed in public. If her parents hated her laugh, wouldn't the people? What if she looked at him and his eyes were full of shock or sadness. Damn... She couldn't take the feeling of guilt any longer.
How had their relationship become so broken? Even as twins they hid stuff from each other. Drew hid his fighting desires, Abbii hid her emotions. Their world filled with that constant nagging and pushing from everyone around them. Their younger sister acted like she hated them. They were expected to be perfect. They were both trapped in someone else's world. Drew cared very little for beauty and contests. He loved to battle. Loved the adrenaline rush. Loved the idea of just being a man. But he was stuck in the world of dance and beauty.
She on the other hand was absolutely brilliant at coordination. But did she love it? She didn't know. She didn't know what she thought about it, and she didn't know what else she could be good at if she didn't have it.
But she pushed it all back. Abbii didn't cry. She knew that Drew had merely been joking about the crying. But still. Abbii hadn't cried in years. Not real crying anyway. It would be played to manipulate the hearts of her fans. But it was all fake. Her tears were never even real in the first place. Always fake. She was supposed to be the one of beauty and emotion. But she even failed to really be what she represented to the world.
With her bangs hiding her sharp sea blue eyes she turned toward Drew and walked to behind his chair. Quietly she lifted her hands and began to comb them through her brother's hair. She loved his hair. Always had. She loved her own hair, hence why she could often be seen playing with it. But there was something about Drew's hair that made her feel safe. Of course she could put up her own hair and then feel good about herself when other people admired it. But what good was that when the people who loved it didn't actually care. Despite constant bullying and topic of many jokes, Drew continued to keep his hair long.
Her fingers caressed and pulled very gently through his rich green locks. "Hey, why don't you try playing the female part next time then. Its not like I plan it that way. Maybe you can make the tragedy a cleaner process too."
[notes; omg I'm so sorry this was so long! I got a little carried away with her character!]
He loved making her laugh, seeing her smile. In general, he simply liked seeing her happy, even if he had to do the dumbest things to accomplish that. Unfortunately, as soon as it appeared, it ended and Drew frowned faintly, a look of concern on his features that she didn't even notice (or want to, rather). It was times like these he was reminded why they hated their parents so. Sadly, it wasn't even so much their parents as it was their parents discipline having run so deep that the two always had to evaluate themselves to be sure they were as perfect as they were expected to be. It was as ridiculous as it was difficult to overcome. It'd become a part of who they were and it was hard to grow out of.
He wanted to tell her it was fine, that she didn't need to worry about it, but he knew it wasn't something she wanted to hear as it was something that was repeated so much over the years that he was worried it might have perhaps lost it's meaning. He knew it wasn't that easy to just get over, so all he could really do is continue to be there for her the best he could and encourage her to be herself around him. That was the Gail he liked, after all.
Andrew was only slightly confused when his sister wordlessly came his way, only to be clued in when he felt her fingers through his hair. He didn't like anyone touching his long locks, but fortunately, she was one of the few who were welcome to play with it since he knew well enough that she enjoyed it (for some reason). He closed his eyes as she combed through it, unable to deny enjoying it himself to an extent. She was gentle and he trusted her completely, making it much easier than it might have been with anyone else. Of course, to ruin the mood, Abii had to deal out her own ounce of teasing.
"Haven't heard that before." he sarcastically replied with a laugh, all too familiar with the 'suggestion'. He probably could pull off the role and he wasn't entirely sure how he felt about that fact. "I'm sure you could learn a thing or two from my oh-so-talented self." he continued to play along, placing a hand dramatically on his chest. It would definitely be an... interesting experience. Of course, even his beloved sister would have a hard time getting him in a dress.

Abbii giggled at her brother. "Don't be ridiculous Drew." She said as she slipped her fingers carefully free of his green hair and wrapped her arms around him from behind. "Don't be stupid. Thats not where you belong. Your not the princess." She frowned and grew quite.
This wasn't supposed to be. She hadn't meant it like that. She had only been joking. And she knew that he didn't mind her jokes, but still. She realized that they couldn't even joke without their parents hanging over their shoulders.
"Com'on we should leave." She said, her head resting on the top of his gently. "I'm tried of the terrible silence in here. Its making me upset. I'm done with the depressing mood it brings." And with that she moved away from him and walked over to her former seat where she picked up her shoulder bag.
Her demeanor had changed. No longer did she have a light attitude that was willing to tease with her brother, but she became the professional young woman that her mother and father wanted. As she shouldered her bag she took her long green hair from its rest in the strap's place and flung it over her shoulder. "I'd like a change of scenery. Maybe some practice will do me some good."
After that long time of just reading Coordination books and going through class, Abbii was exhausted. But to be honest, there wasn't anything she would rather do then spend time with Drew. Course, what should they do together? Practice? Joke about how terrible their lives were? But were their lives terrible? They had just about everything they could possibly want. They were popular, beautiful in their different ways (more then most people), Absolutely rich. They should be happy. They were living the dream. And yet......
"Actually Drew," She spun in her spot and turned to her twin, there was a smile in place of the frown that had been there only moments ago. "Would you like to get some green tea? The school cafe is open till seven for those who need to study and use coffee." Back and forth. For the strength of herself more then her family Abbii turned brighter. There was no sense in dealing with the feelings that would plague her, they simply made her life harder and made her family's life harder. "I know mom and dad won't approve entirely, but we've been working hard all semester, why not give ourselves a short break? They couldn't say no to that."
It was meant to be a joke, and had it not been her sudden silence he might have laughed along with her. He had no objections to avoiding the role, and it hardly ever occured to him that she might share his feelings towards that silly title that came with all sorts of nasty baggage behind the scenes. Perhaps he liked to think that at least others were spared but it was a silly idea. He didn't know how to address it though, but thankfully, Gail had decided to change the subject. Better to pretend it didn't exist rather than face it. Not exactly the healthiest of choices, but certainly the easiest.
He was perfectly fine with leaving. As much as he loved reading, silence only lead to thinking too much and he'd rather not think about such unpleasantness either. "Ready when you are." he smiled softly with a faint tint of sadness. She'd taken on that professional persona of hers again but he couldn't be too surprised. They both had their masks to hide behind when it was time to put on a show, but he quite preferred his easy going sister. She didn't need to pretend she was perfect, she already was. It was really a shame she couldn't see it.
Standing to his feet, Drew grabbed the book he'd nearly forgotten again and gave it one last once-over. He was quite tempted to borrow it, at least until he'd learnt the techniques, but after some forethought he decided it wasn't worth the risk. He'd rather avoid any unnecessary drama, after all. So after returning the book to it's place, he returned to his twin, pleasantly surprised by a smile this time.
He liked the idea. He supposed a warm cup of tea could perk him up a bit, especially after her messing with his hair had made him just a bit drowsy and it would surely lift their spirits in any case. There was of course the concern over their parents, but Andrew simply shook his head. "What they don't know wont hurt them." he offered simply, having taken that mindset recently with his secret training sessions. They deserved a break, whether their parents liked it or not. With that settled in his mind, he picked up his own messenger bag and walked towards his sister. "If they ask, we can just say we were practicing." he added, nudging her playfully before moving on, expecting her to follow.

She didn't even really realize he had left her side until she turned around to find him returning to her from some other part of the room. But she didn't address it. She was done with being worried for the moment. Abbii wanted to be happy for the rest of the day because being depressed never did her any good and more importantly, it never fixed her or Drew's problems.
"YES!" She said in an excited mood as she pointed at him with an index finger. "If they never know! They can't be upset! Exactly what I'm thinking Drew." She didn't disobey her parents very often, and even though this didn't seem like a very big rebellious act, just the thought of doing something without her parents knowledge felt slightly exhilarating.
"Come on!" With that she walked over to him and grabbed his hand and attempted to pull him out of the library and to the cafe where they could get some nice tea.
[NOTES;; Either that was a really short thread and I want another one (possibly with their parents involved?) or do we continue at the cafe?]
It was a pleasant surprise (though still a very shocking surprise) when his sister got excited over the idea of enjoying themselves behind their horrendous parents' backs. Every child was entitled to being rebellious at least once in their lives and since they missed out when they were younger, they'd might as well start now, right? Of course, what they were planning to do was quite small in comparison to what most might do, but for them, this being one of the rare few times they decided to go against their parent's wishes, it seemed like a big deal, especially if they were to get caught. The risk was hardly on his mind though, far more focused on making his twin happy. "I'm glad you are finally recognizing my brilliance." he joked, glad that she was on board with the whole thing and certainly far more excited.
He was already way ahead of her when she'd called for him, but that didn't stop her from catching up and then some, the gallade nearly tripping over his own feet as Abigail grabbed his hand and pulled him along, eager to get going. He chuckled in amusement, holding her hand as he let her lead him to the cafe.
[OOC: Shortest thread I've ever been a part of lol NEW RECORD. We can continue if you want for gushy twin moments or we can move on to parents for tasty drama. I'm really up for whatever so long as we keep threading with these two because I love them too much <3]
