RULES.
GENERAL
001. Please read all of the rules and information on FF before you go ahead and make an account, just because there are some things that are a bit specific that we'd like you to know before you go ahead and register (see: username).
002. Free Falling is a modern day Pokemon role play set in a world similar to our own. There aren't any pokemon trainers or anything in our world (please don't ask). Instead, characters are all humanized versions of pokemon. Which means, yes, you have to be a pokemon. Please continue here for more details.
003. You're allowed four characters to start off. Does that mean you're limited to only four? No. But we'd really appreciate if those four characters were all very different (it will also make things more fun, trust me).
004. Applications not finished within one week of post date (unless staff is otherwise notified) will be deleted. This also goes for any reservation that isn't filled within one weeks time.
006. As far as activity goes, we will routinely hold activity checks to make sure people are keeping up and staying active. If you are busy and cannot log on or post, please give us a warning. If you're going to be gone more than two weeks, you may run the risk of losing your claims to someone else.
CHARACTER CREATION
001. Choose a pokemon, fill out an application, and wait for a staff member to accept your character before posting anywhere else on the site - especially in character!!
002. Before going ahead and making a new character, please make sure that your previous one is involved in some plots/threads, just to help you stay active. The last thing we want is for people to create a bunch of characters and not use them.
003. We're an animanga face claim site, and only they will be accepted. No original art or celebrity claims, sorry! If you're using a claim with 3D rendering, please find animanga style fanart to use on FF (staff can help you if you are unsure).
004. The staff has every right to turn away a character if we don't think they'll fit on our site. If this happens to you, do not complain or throw a tantrum. Simply revise what we ask and you'll be role playing in no time at all.
WRITING
001. While FF has no word count, please be mindful that your rp partner(s) need something to go off of, and we expect posts be at least a decent paragraph or so.
002. To go along with that, we're all about quality. Please use proper grammar and spelling, unless the situation calls for anything less.
003. Cool it on the crazy, emotional, or dramatic backstories. Yes, we understand that shit does happen, but we also want to keep FF free of Mary Sues and Gary Stus.
004. Be aware of the Proboards Terms of Service. While it's ok to use some rough language, please keep in mind that younger people do use the site, and keep anything sexual or explicit to skype and private rps.
MISC
001. You're required to have both an avatar (100x100) and a hover image (200x400). We will also ask you to find a new image if yours is stretched, blurry, or otherwise bad quality. If you're having any trouble, a staff member will gladly help you out!
002. Don't be an asshole. It's as simple as that. No, you don't have to be best friends with everybody, but please think before you speak (and remember that it isn't always obvious whether you're joking or not over the internet).
003. FF is first, and foremost, a place for fun. Do not let FF take up all of your time. We understand completely that our members are busy people, and your rp partner can probably wait for you to finish your real world tasks before replying.
004. If you are at all feeling uncomfortable, or there is an issue you would like to discuss, please feel free to message a staff member. We are here to make sure everybody is having a good time, and if there's something bothering you, we'd like to know how we can help make your experience at FF better!
