▸ he grew up under parents who were, for all intents an purposes, role-reversed. his mom was the money maker and his dad stayed home doing chores — it had been that way even before his sister was born, and it just wasn't something they questioned.
▸ in school, he did fairly well in most of his classes, but he'd decided very early on that he'd major in battle when he got to university. despite how flighty he often is, that was the one goal he worked towards his entire life, and he excelled in it.
▸ after graduation, he went out into the world to adventure and indulge in his heart's desire; but it wasn't before long that he felt like something was missing. he could do whatever he wished, but he simply wasn't making an impression — on himself as much as anyone else.
▸ it was around that time where he decided to return to the university and go through the necessary processes to become an instructor. he wanted to teach those younger than him and watch them grow, much like his own instructors had done for him.
