I shouted out I loved you but you’re not here, you're not here |
It was far from uncommon to see Matilda White venture out into places where her family may not go. Therefore, she decided to go and scope out quaint little Springcliff, a town so small no one would ever expect the amount of parties it yielded during the holidays. Knowing she would get lost in all of the holiday festivities should she visit any other time, the Espeon went during a cool crisp Autumn weekend, to try out the cuisine beforehand and scope out the entire area. After stopping by the general store for a town map and a newspaper about the town, she then decided to go and browse through them at a street side cafe, where she joyfully ordered some hot cocoa with marshmallows and a warm turkey, lettuce and cheese sandwich on multigrain bread with dijon mustard. Overall, it was a very healthy choice in comparison to all the other choices on the menu (but hey, it was a cafe after all) and very, very tasty. Mattie was satisfied, having to put all her willpower in restraining herself from chomping down on the sandwich like a madwoman. Instead she tried to eat with her mouth closed and to eat like a proper young lady, though whether she was a lady was debatable. While Springcliff seemed like a lovely place to be in, the newspapers showed what issues the town had, as small it was. For instance, there was one problem lurking around in this very cafe, and maybe Mattie couldn't truly solve it herself. The ingredients for the Galette des Rois the DJ wanted to order were available but something was amiss. In fact, the stove had a problem. It wasn't working for some odd reason. Of course, the Psychic Pokemon had no expertise with fixing anything so maybe she should just leave and find someone who was capable of helping out. "Maybe I should go and find a Yellow Pages Book!" she suggested out loud. This seemed like a good idea because there were no mechanics nearby in Springcliff. A few mechanics came to mind due to seeing tons of adds in Lakeport for them, but she didn't know their number. A Yellow Pages book would definitely have those numbers in them. Thus, this may be the only choice the restaurant had. After Mattie paid, she then set out to a bookstore. The store was only right around the corner, ever so conveniently. Everything would work out perfectly now, she was most definitely sure. On her way into the shop, however, the young girl accidentally bumped into someone else and fell back. Carefully, she clutched onto her belongings and made sure that nothing she had in her pockets fell out. Then she surveyed the area to check for anything that the person she bumped into might have dropped. "A-Ahh! I'm sorry for bumping into you! Did you drop anything?!" Don't worry, mysterious stranger. Matilda White would be at your service... when she finally stopped panicking. tagged: (open) words: (446) notes: (the person who posts next can be whom she bumps into) |
